PHP Developer

Job Overview

Codmash is looking for a skilled PHP Developer with at least 1 year of professional experience to join our development team.

The ideal candidate should have strong PHP knowledge, a good understanding of OOP concepts, and practical experience with Laravel, Joomla, MySQL, REST APIs, Git, and JavaScript.

You will work on live client projects, custom web applications, existing systems, API integrations, debugging, optimization, and ongoing development.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining PHP-based applications, working on Laravel and Joomla projects, managing databases, integrating APIs, fixing bugs, improving existing applications, and collaborating with the design, development, and QA teams.

You should be comfortable understanding existing code, implementing new functionality, testing your work, and delivering tasks within project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using PHP.
• Build and customize applications using Laravel.
• Work on Joomla development, customization, extensions, and existing websites.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and third-party services.
• Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code.
• Work with MySQL databases, queries, data structures, and optimization.
• Debug and resolve issues in existing applications.
• Improve application performance, security, and stability.
• Maintain and enhance existing client projects.
• Work with frontend technologies when required.
• Use Git for source control and collaborative development.
• Coordinate with designers, developers, QA, and project managers.
• Understand project requirements and deliver features within agreed timelines.
• Test developed functionality before submitting work for QA.

Required Skills

• Strong PHP development experience
• Excellent understanding of OOP concepts
• Hands-on experience with Laravel
• Experience with Joomla development and customization
• Strong knowledge of MySQL / database management
• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs
• Knowledge of Git / Version Control
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Ability to optimize and maintain existing applications
• Good knowledge of JavaScript
• Understanding of responsive web development
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team

Additional Skills

Knowledge of React.js, HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap will be considered an advantage.
